Today, the world of futbol/soccer has lost one its biggest legends of all time. Pelé, who for millions of fans is the best player of history, passed away at the age of 82. A genious in the field and probably the biggest public figure of Brazil's recent history, the three-time World Cup winner changed the world of soccer and will always be remembered for the great moments over his career, for his incredible goals and for being the King of soccer.
With the characteristic blue and green colors from Brazil's national team in the background the watchface shows Pele's silhouette, his signature, the number 10 he always wore and the seals of the Brazil National Team and the Santos (the club where Pelé played during most of his career). On the bottom on the dial we can see his full name on top "Pelé", and the words "Sempre O Rei" ("Always the King"), as he was known as "O Rei" in the world of soccer. I chose portuguese for those words because it was Pelé's native language.
Being a tribute to one of the greatest soccer players of all time, this is a watchface every soccer fan must have.
